February Series: I Have A Friend Who...

Feb. 6 ...is Tired of God. Ever thought God wasn't doing His job? Ever had someone throw a statement at you like, "If God is so good then why is there so much suffering?"
Or "If God is like my father, then He must be a real jerk!" Or "I just can't believe in a God who allows little kids to be abused or crushed to death in an earthquake." What do you say to a person, perhaps even yourself, who is tired of God?

Feb. 13 ...Hates Life There comes a time into each life where the going gets tough. More than tough, it can get downright discouraging. Depression runs rampant, pain cuts deep into the soul, and people can say the most insensitive things pushing a low self-esteem even lower. Cutting, jumping from relationship to relationship and even suicidal thoughts and actions can be the results. What do you say to a friend who hates life?

Feb. 20 ...is Addicted to Drama. Ever noticed how some people just seem to wear the crown of drama king or queen very easily? Their life seems to be immersed in drama and they never seem to know how they got there. Never mind the fact that gossip runs rampant from their lips or they can never seem to pass up a chance to backstab. What do you say to a friend who seems to be addicted to drama?

Feb. 27 ...is Out of Control. No matter how badly we would like to ignore it, there are some people who are just totally out of control. They can't control their tempers, their appetites, their schedule or anything else. There are some given to addictive behaviors-alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, fighting ore even working-the possible list is almost endless. How do you help someone who seems to be totally out of control? (This will be a home-leave Sabbath and the students will be gone)
