March/April Series: Surpassing Greatness (Studies in the book of Philippians)

Mar. 6 Confidence Builders     Have you noticed that it is easy to become fearful as you go through life? It's easy to shy away from sharing the gospel with those around us. It's easy to worry about all sorts of things. But Paul lets us know how we can become effective in the first chapter of Philippians. If our love can abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, we can discern what is best and be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ. This is a homeleave Sabbath and the students will be gone. Guest Speaker: Elder Jim Herman.

13 Change Your Attitude    While we can't always control the things that happen to us, we can control our response to them.. Responses are generally drawn directly from our attitude about things. And our attitudes are what we can actually change. Therefore, change the attitude and your response is changed as well. What attitude should I have? Philippians chapter 2 says that we should have the same attitude as Christ Jesus. Wow, that's a tall order! Is that really possible? We'll talk about that. This is also Academy Days Sabbath and we will have many guests here for it. Speaker: Pastor Don Keele Jr.

20 Press On    It is easy in the press and stress of life to grow discouraged and want to give up. It's especially easy if you have been trying to live your spiritual walk on your own terms and under your own power. Don't put confidence in the flesh, but rather keep looking to Jesus and press on to take hold of what Christ has already taken hold of for you. Speaker: Pastor Greg Hudson

27 Guest Speaker: Olivier LeMaitre. Students will be at the GCC Youth Festival in Cartersville, GA

April 3 GCA Alumni Weekend with Guest Speaker Dr. Roger Bothwell

10 Never Say Never     Often, we give up on things in life too easily. Paul reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us. He lets us know that though the way may get rough, no matter what circumstances, we can learn to be content. Never say never. What may be impossible for you to do on your own is possible with Christ. This will be a homeleave Sabbath and the students will be gone. Speaker: Pastor Don Keele Jr.
